Provider Appreciation Day is observed annually on the Friday before Mother’s Day to honor child care providers, teachers, and educators of young children across the country.

This special day began in 1996, thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers in New Jersey who recognized the invaluable contributions of those caring for the children of working parents. Since then, support has continued to grow each year, with recognition across the country from Child Care Resource & Referral agencies, child care advocates, community businesses, government leaders, and countless individuals whose lives have been positively impacted by the incredible work of early childhood educators.

Here are some ideas and materials to help you say,  “Thank You” to the early education professionals in your life! Don’t forget to visit Child Care Aware of America’s website for more ideas and information about Provider Appreciation Day!
