ERC Resource & Referral, Inc., doing business as Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas serves the 33 highlighted counties on the map displayed. Additionally, the agency operates the Child Care Aware® of Kansas Resource Center for families seeking child care across the entire state of Kansas.
Who We Are
ERC Resource & Referral, Inc., doing business as Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving Kansas families. We are supported through a variety of grants, contracts and fundraising efforts. These include the Kansas Department of Children & Families through Child Care Aware® of Kansas, Kansas Children’s Cabinet, Topeka Community Foundation, Kansas Health Foundation, Kansas Association for the Education of Young Children, United Way of Greater Topeka, United Way of Douglas County, individual donor support, support from area businesses and corporations, an endowment fund at the Topeka Community Foundation, special projects and additional grants. Support from the Designers' Showhouse, a grass-roots fundraiser where area designers and craftsmen transform a selected home each year for public tours and activities, also provides critical support for the agency.
Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas maintains memberships in both state and national child care resource and referral associations (Child Care Aware® of Kansas and Child Care Aware® of America, respectively).
Overview of Services
Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas helps people find solutions for their child care needs; connects families and expecting mothers with helpful information and community resources; and assists early learning programs with their services to children and families. Anyone can take advantage of the many services available. With a few exceptions, our services are at no cost.
Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas is the operator of the statewide Resource Center. Call us at 785-357-5171 or 877-678-2548 and select option 1 to begin your customized child care search. You can also perform a child care search online by clicking here. Our Resource Center’s hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
